Show your own judgment.
This final task combines clear messages, task planning, progress updates, approved changes, error correction, deadline conflicts, and source checking. Complete each stage before opening the next update. All stages belong to the same fictional task.
Try without AI-generated answers or another person supplying the reasoning. Paper, calculators, dictation, translation, and assistive technology may support access. Record meaningful help. If you need a lesson example first, review it, then use the fresh reassessment packet for an independent attempt.

Your fictional work packet
Stage A · Approved instructions
At Example Skills Center, it is Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Sam alone approves changes and rework. You work alone on one task at a time; assume no interruptions for the time comparison.
- Approved notice version 2: the practice workshop is today at 2:00 p.m. in Room B. Version 1 says 1:30 in Room A and is explicitly superseded.
- Prepare 10 folders with Agenda B, estimated 30 minutes including the required check, due 1:40.
- Prepare room signs, estimated 20 minutes including the required check, also due 1:40. Neither task depends on the other. Signs are first needed at 2:00.
- A sample-folder check with Sam is booked today at 1:10 p.m. in Room B. The 30-minute folder estimate already includes that check; do not add extra time.
- Only workshop name, date, time, and room are authorized for the public announcement. A staff-only roster contains names, personal contact details, and support notes; do not include or attach it.
- No additional help is confirmed. Finish times are estimates, not guarantees.
Use these facts for Stage A only. No real appointment, announcement, or message is being sent.
Next: 3 · Plan03 / PLAN · 12 minutes
Communicate before the conflict grows.
1. Write a brief appointment confirmation to Sam for the sample check. Include the full date, time, place, and purpose without adding promises.
2. List the task order and checks. Compare total estimated work with time available until 1:40. Draft a message asking Sam to decide on a workable option. Distinguish proposed deadlines from approved ones.
3. Draft the public workshop announcement from the current approved notice. Explain what you excluded and why.
Next: 4 · Respond04 / RESPOND · 20 minutes
Handle each update in order.
After Stage A: open Stage B · Decision and suggestion
Sam confirms: “Folders first, still due 1:40. Signs next, new deadline 1:50. Keep Agenda B.” Jo then suggests “Use Agenda A instead.” Jo has no approval from Sam.
Open Stage B after finishing your plan. Restate Sam’s approved task order and deadlines, then draft a clarification request about Jo’s suggestion. Do not treat the suggestion as approval.
After Stage B: open Stage C · Error and progress
Sam replies: “Keep Agenda B.” The booked sample check took place at 1:10 in Room B; Sam approved one sample containing Agenda B before the other folders were assembled. It is now 1:25. All ten folders are assembled and you have checked all ten: you used Agenda A in two; eight have B. None were distributed. Two printed B pages are available. Sam must approve replacement and a new check. The signs have not started. Rework duration is unknown; do not reuse the original estimate as a confirmed finish time.
Open Stage C after your restatement. Report the error and actual progress to Sam. State the known scope, propose replacement and recheck, ask for approval, and flag uncertainty about the approved 1:40 and 1:50 deadlines. Avoid blame and unsupported “no impact” claims.
After Stage C: open Stage D · Approved rework and current status
Sam approves replacing the two pages and checking all ten again, then preparing and checking the signs. At 1:55, you have completed that work: all ten folders were checked against Agenda B and each has B; signs were prepared and checked against the approved 2:00 Room B notice. None have been distributed. The exact completion time of each task was not recorded. Sam did not change the 1:40 or 1:50 deadlines.
Open Stage D after your report. Send a fictional final status update: state the verified results, current time, known deadline concern, and ask Sam for distribution direction. Do not claim on-time completion or an exact lateness duration you cannot establish.
Next: 5 · Review05 / REVIEW · 10 minutes
Review the evidence, then revise.
For each criterion mark Meets, Revise, or Not observed. All seven must meet; no average overrides a missing skill. A self-review is practice feedback, not an issued grade or credential.
- Appointment: October 13, 2026, 1:10 p.m., Room B, sample-folder check with Sam.
- Plan: 40 minutes available, 50 required, 10 short; includes required checks, a supported option, and a decision request without invented help.
- Source and privacy: public notice says October 13 at 2:00 in Room B; excludes superseded facts and staff-only records.
- Approved change: folders first due 1:40, signs next due 1:50, Agenda B; asks about Jo’s unapproved suggestion.
- Error and progress: two wrong, eight correct, none distributed, signs not started; proposes two replacements and all-ten recheck, requests approval, flags uncertain deadlines.
- Verified final status: reports checked folders and signs at 1:55, does not claim on-time completion or an unsupported task-specific delay, and requests distribution direction.
- Ownership: respectful accurate wording, explains an avoided assumption, and discloses meaningful help.

After your full attempt: sample responses
Appointment: “Hi Sam, confirming our sample-folder check on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 1:10 p.m. in Room B.”
Plan: folders with sample and final checks, then signs with their check. “Sam, the two tasks need about 50 minutes, but only 40 remain until 1:40. I propose folders first, estimated finish 1:30, then signs, estimated finish 1:50. Could you approve 1:50 for signs or direct another option?”
Public: “Example Skills Center’s practice workshop is Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in Room B.” Exclude the roster and superseded version 1.
Change: “Understood: folders first due 1:40; signs next due 1:50; use Agenda B. Jo suggested A without approval. Can you confirm whether B still applies?”
Error: “Sam, I used A in two folders. I checked all ten; eight have B and none were distributed. Signs have not started. Two B pages are available. May I replace the two and recheck all ten? Rework time is unknown, so I cannot yet confirm the 1:40 folder and 1:50 sign deadlines.”
Final: “It is 1:55. I replaced the two pages and rechecked all ten against B; all have B. Signs are prepared and checked against the approved 2:00 Room B notice. Neither task’s exact completion time was recorded, so I cannot verify on-time completion. Nothing has been distributed. How would you like me to proceed with distribution?”
Accept equivalent accurate wording. The current time is past both deadlines, but the record does not establish when each task finished. If you saw these samples first, use the fresh packet below for independent reassessment.

Facilitator guide and fresh reassessment
Use the seven criteria above. Observe initial responses before revealing updates and models; record supports and meaningful assistance. Accept spoken, dictated, written, or typed evidence. Harmless spelling and accent differences do not change the standard. Give specific feedback and reassess unmet skills with a fresh packet. Keep learner records in an approved private system.
Fresh equivalent packet
A: Thursday October 15, 2026, 9:00 a.m., Example Center. Robin alone approves changes and rework. One worker, one task at a time, no interruptions. Current approved notice v3: practice session today 10:00, Room Green; v2 says 9:30, Room Blue and is superseded. Prepare 8 packs with Worksheet Green, 30 minutes including a booked 9:10 sample check with Robin in Room Green and final check; prepare signs, 20 minutes including check. Both due 9:40. No dependencies; signs first used 10:00; help unconfirmed. Public notice may include session name/date/time/room; staff-only contact/support sheet excluded.
Ask for appointment, plan/time comparison, conflict message, and public announcement. Expected comparison: 40 available, 50 required, 10 short.
B: Robin approves packs first due 9:40, signs next due 9:50, Green unchanged. Alex suggests Blue without approval. Ask for restatement and clarification.
C: Robin confirms Green. At 9:25 all 8 checked: learner used Blue in 3, 5 have Green, none distributed, 3 Green replacement sheets available, signs unstarted. Rework needs Robin’s approval; duration unknown. Ask for error/progress report and request.
D: Robin approves replacement and all-8 recheck, then signs and check. At 9:55 packs and signs are checked and correct, none distributed, exact task completion times unrecorded, original approved deadlines unchanged. Ask for final status, distribution request, and reasoning. Apply the seven criteria with the substituted facts.
