Start with a task, not a personal score
A portfolio is a small collection of work that helps someone understand what you can do. It supplements a resume, conversation, and any required qualifications; it does not replace every hiring process. Start with a real kind of task, such as explaining a spreadsheet, writing a clear handoff, or organizing a fictional appointment schedule. Choose something you can safely practice and explain.
The book calls repeated, documented action a foundation for professional credibility. In this course, Career Credit Score is a title and organizing idea, not a financial score or a rating of your worth, character, or employability. We evaluate a claim and its supporting work. A person with fewer resources or less public work is not less trustworthy. Private practice is a valid route.
Write a bounded goal: audience, task, evidence, and deadline. Choose a task inside your present training and authority. For a regulated profession, practice with simulations or appropriate supervision, not unauthorized services. You can complete every activity without AI, a purchase, or publishing anything. Finishing the lessons does not guarantee work or income.
